ERDEM KOCH

Erdem Koch is a communications professional with more than 15 years experience.

Erdem graduated from Law and Journalism at La Trobe University in Melbourne, and went on to work as a journalist for more than a decade. He started his journalism career at SBS, and then moved to Turkey where he reported on general elections, terrorist attacks and military coups. He wrote for The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Herald Sun, Crikey and The Australian newspapers.

When he returned to Australia, he became the Executive Producer of Australia’s flagship political discussion program, the ABC’s Insiders. He also taught journalism at La Trobe University during this time.

He then went on to work for a Fortune 500 company in a corporate communications role in Australia and Asia, before moving to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to work for the tech giant TikTok.

Erdem has worked to drive communications campaigns for a variety of brands and companies, ranging from public advocacy to narrative-shifting reasons, to public relations and reputation management. He excels in crisis communications and in media training.
