KUNAL KIRPALANI

Kunal Kirpalani is a strategic adviser specialising in ESG, public policy, international development, and impact investing. His career spans over a decade across Australia, Asia-Pacific, and the UK, supporting public and private sector stakeholders on initiatives at the nexus of finance, policy and political risk, along with social and environmental impact.

 

He has collaborated with the Australian Government, notably authoring a fact-finding report on global social benefit bonds for the New South Wales Department of Family and Community Services. He also worked with the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet, where he reviewed grants for social and environmental infrastructure projects. Kunal's work with international organizations includes contributions to the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, focusing on program design and policy dialogue in emerging markets.

 

In the private sector, Kunal has advised family offices and impact investors on strategies that align financial performance with measurable social outcomes. His efforts have advanced financial inclusion, social enterprise development, and high-net-worth individual engagement across various philanthropic and investment platforms, including Milaap Social Ventures.

 

Kunal holds an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS, University of London, and a BA in International Relations from the Australian National University. Based in Sydney, Kunal serves clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
